Deployable office · not a laptop

STOWORK

Your whole office. In a carry-on. In under two minutes.

A carry-on-sized case that unfolds into a full three-monitor workstation with broadcast-grade AV — then folds back down to airline-legal cabin dimensions.

The problem

The road takes away everything that makes you fast.

A laptop gives you one cramped screen and a mushy keyboard. On the road you lose the six things a professional actually works with — and above all, screen real estate.

  • ▭▭▭

    Screen real estate

One 14″ panel instead of the three you left at your desk.

  • A real keyboard

Mushy laptop travel keys, no dedicated trackpad reach.

  • A proper camera

You stare down at a laptop lens instead of into it.

  • 🎙

    A broadcast mic

Tinny built-in capsule on every call that matters.

  • 🎧

    Studio headphones

Left behind, or tangled in a bag with no home.

  • A trackpad

No room, no surface, no muscle memory.

STOWORK is not a laptop. It is a deployable office — drive it from your laptop or phone over one cable (Dock), or dock your own Mac mini, Mac Studio, or mini-PC in the swappable compute bay (Core).

See it deploy

Scrub the full set-up. Zero to office.

Drag the slider to open the case, raise the lift, fan the triptych, extend the AV boom, and power on — the whole sequence fits a ≤ 110-second budget.

55×35×23 cm. Airline carry-on legal.

The layout that makes it work

Real dimensions. Honest geometry.

Stowed 55 × 35 × 23 cm

Within the common 56×36×23 cm cabin limit. Wheeled spinner, telescoping handle, aluminum-frame clamshell.

Deployed footprint 60 × 95 cm

Occupies ~60 cm deep × 95 cm wide of desk once the triptych fans. Needs only a chair and a table.

Runtime 4–6 h

Off the internal swappable battery, or run indefinitely on AC passthrough.

The triptych fold

Three 14″ 16:10 panels (~31 × 19.5 cm each) side-by-side span ~93 cm — far wider than the 55 cm case. The fix is a tri-fold triptych: the center panel is fixed; two wing panels hinge on vertical axes and fold flat, face-to-face, over the center when stowed (stack ≈ 31 × 19.5 × 2.4 cm). Deployed, each wing swings out ~35° into a curved, immersive 3-screen array. Panels are thin-film OLED (~1.2 mm laminate, matte AR). Combined target: 3× 2560×1600.

Input

A low-profile mechanical TKL keyboard (36 cm) sits in the front well; TKL + trackpad inline = 36 + 16 = 52 cm, fitting the 53 cm interior width exactly. The 16 × 11 cm glass haptic trackpad sits to its right. The keyboard rides a slide-out tray that advances ~6 cm toward you for wrist comfort.

Pro AV

A cardioid condenser mic on a telescoping boom rises from the top-center bridge and angles toward your mouth. A 4K webcam sits co-located at eye level, so you look into the lens, not down at a laptop. Over-ear studio headphones stow in a molded EVA cradle in the lid on pogo-pin charging; stereo speakers live in the base front edge.

Lift & ergonomics

The triptych rides a rear 4-bar lift linkage (gas-strut assisted) that raises it ~12 cm and rotates it flat→vertical, putting the center of the screen near seated eye level on a standard 74 cm desk.

Dock 7.9 kg

Drive it from the machine you already carry. One USB4 / Thunderbolt cable to your laptop or phone drives all three displays + AV + power.

Core 8.2 kg

Dock your own Mac mini, Mac Studio, or mini-PC in the swappable compute bay — the case becomes a complete desktop that travels with your real machine. Add 0.67 kg (mini) or 2.7 kg (Studio) for the device you drop in.

The compute bay

Bring your own Mac. Swap it forever.

The base's left engine-bay third holds a standardized 200 × 200 × 100 mm compute bay with a fixed blind-mate connector block. Your machine rides in a device-specific 3D-printed cradle that drops in on a quarter-turn latch and routes its ports to that block. You swap computers by swapping a printed holder — the case side never changes.

  • 200 × 200 × 100 mm bay
  • Blind-mate connector block
  • Quarter-turn latch
  • Open STL cradle family
Mac mini cradle 197 × 197 × 36 mm

Printed riser lifts the mini so its top sits flush with the bay lip; the airflow channel aligns to its perimeter intake and rear exhaust.

Mac Studio cradle 197 × 197 × 95 mm

A minimal frame — the Studio nearly fills the bay. Sized so the bay swallows the tallest target device and everything shorter.

Generic mini-PC cradle parametric STL

Print to any device's L × W × H and port map — Intel NUC, Framework Desktop, Beelink, and more. The print-layer look is part of the identity.

Future machines are a reprint, not a new case. Cradles ship pre-fit or download from an open STL family, so the workstation you buy today never goes obsolete when your compute does.
